Comments:

The huge building on the right next to the bridge is a mill (still existing, but out of service). The church on the left is St. James (protestant), the church on the right St. Mary (catholic). A little bit further on the right, one can see the gable of the town hall (today: old town hall), a famous renaissance building. The surrounding mountains are much more forested today. In 1900, harvesting wood was a main industry in the Murg valley.
